     Ms. Babcock has traversed the Hollywood landscape with success and a range of experience. She previously worked in development and production of motion pictures and television at Warner Brothers, Columbia Pictures, NBC/Universal, Paramount, TriStar, New World, Embassy Pictures, MGM, ABC and CBS with such industry heavy weights as Roland Joffe, Thom Mount, Larry Kasden, Michael Shamberg, David Wolper, Benjamin Melniker, Ed Zwick, Michael Uslan, Paul Freeman, Wes Craven, and Joel Michaels over the last three decades. Ms. Babcock now oversees all operations of The Mount Company and subsidiaries’ theatrical motion picture and television development, production, distribution and marketing.

 

     Brit also has a strong history in sales and business development. She has launched numerous startup companies, primarily in mid to high end real estate development in Palm Springs, California, and Bar Harbor, Maine, such as the development of a 32 acre ocean front community of high end summer homes across the bay from Bar Harbor. She is a licensed financial advisor, formerly with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and Private Wealth Management and has also been a top producer in real estate sales for First Team Estates - Christies. Brit has a reputation for counseling entrepreneurs and startups both inside and outside the film and television industry.

 

      She attended the University of Maine, George Washington University and Institute for American Universities in Aix-en-Provence, France achieving a BA in English and Creative Writing. She earned a Master’s Degree in Literature and Creative Writing from Middlebury College’s Bread Loaf School of English and attended the Bennington College MFA program in fiction writing. An accomplished sailor and skier, she spends considerable time helping entrepreneurs grow successful businesses. She lives in Los Angeles.
